A Bellefonte restaurant has permanently closed after three years in business.
URBN Flavorhaus announced the closure of its 205 Park Place location in a Facebook post and email to customers on Saturday morning. An equipment sale — including tables, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, TVs, tables and chairs — was being held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The restaurant’s Coffee Haus location at 141 W. High St. in Bellefonte remains open, and the message promised “exciting news about the Lamar location,” in the coming weeks. It also suggested “the possibility of a new location opening in the near future.”
The post thanked customers but did not specify a reason for the decision to close.
“This was not an easy choice, but as we reflect on the wonderful times we’ve had, we believe it’s the right step for us at this point,” the post stated.
URBN Flavorhaus opened in 2020 at the Park Place location previously occupied by Sammi’s and for years by Bonfatto’s. Featuring a drive-thru and outdoor seating in addition to its dining room, it served burgers, chicken, salad, sandwiches and shakes, among other items.
